There is so much history out there in the world, waiting to be discovered. I love nothing more than finding treasures for myself, to re-purpose or to give as gifts. I try to limit my physical collections, but get just as much joy from searching vintage and thrift shops even if I don’t bring my fun finds home.
The Thrift Art Gallery is where I collect paintings that have been orphaned, filling my walls with their wonderful strokes. Some collected I am sure from travels across the world, some created in bursts of artistic effort and some simply wonderful paintings that I can’t imagine being able to part with myself. These all find their way to me where I give them new life and appreciation.
My Treasures page has just goofy silly finds that I don’t (usually) bring home but can’t help to enjoy while I am browsing. There are definitely a wide variety of interests out there – some have past their prime, some are timeless and all the things have a story.
